About me

(UFMG)
During my doctoral studies, I was awarded the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP) scholarship and conducted research at the University of Alberta under the supervision of Odile Cisneros. I was also a visiting researcher at Stanford University, supported by the CAPES PDSE program, under the supervision of Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht.
My doctoral dissertation, A imaginação negativa: Uma política da ficção (Negative Imagination: A Politics of Fiction), examines how contemporary literature and art enact a critical response to present-day society. Drawing on Adornian aesthetics and Critical Theory, the study explores the works of Argentinian writer Jorge Luis Borges, American visual artist Andy Warhol, and Chilean author Roberto Bolaño, focusing on how fiction articulates resistance through form, irony, and the undoing of narrative expectations.
I earned my Master’s degree in Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art.
I have published my dissertation under the title A arte nova e o novo na arte na filosofia de Theodor W. Adorno (Dialética, 2022), with a brief presentation written by myself and a preface written by my supervisor, Eduardo Soares Neves Silva.
The book is available on editora Dialética website and on Amazon.
